耶稣离开那里，来到他们的会堂。会堂里有一个人，他的一只手枯干了。有人问耶稣：“在安息日治病，可以吗？”目的是要控告耶稣。耶稣回答：“你们当中有哪一个，他仅有的一只羊在安息日跌进坑里，会不把羊抓住拉上来呢？人比羊贵重得多了！所以，在安息日行善是可以的。”于是对那人说：“伸出手来！”他把手一伸，就复原了，好像另一只手一样。法利赛人出去，商议怎样对付耶稣，好杀掉他。

耶稣下到加利利的迦百农城，在安息日教导人。

耶稣来到拿撒勒自己长大的地方，照着习惯在安息日进入会堂，站起来要读经。

在那里躺着许多病人，有瞎眼的、瘸腿的和瘫痪的。（有些抄本有以下一段：“他们等候水动，

耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂里教导人，宣扬天国的福音，医治民间各种疾病、各种病症。

安息日的时候，耶稣在会堂里教导人。

有几个法利赛人说：“那个人不是从神那里来的，因为他不守安息日。”另外有些人说：“一个罪人怎能行这样的神迹呢？”他们就起了纷争。

耶稣对律法师和法利赛人说：“在安息日治病，可以不可以呢？”

耶稣用双手按在她身上，她立刻直起腰来，颂赞神。会堂的主管，因为耶稣在安息日治病，就气忿忿地对群众说：“有六天是应当作工的，你们可以在这六天里来求医，但在安息日却不可以。”

有一个安息日，耶稣从麦田经过，他的门徒摘了麦穗，用手搓着吃。

耶罗波安王听见神人向伯特利的祭坛喊叫的话，就从祭坛上伸手，说：“抓住他！”王向他伸出的手却瘫痪了，不能缩回来。

“那丢弃羊群的无用牧人有祸了！愿刀剑落在他的膀臂和他的右眼上；愿他的膀臂全然枯槁，愿他的右眼完全失明！”
