凡就我聞我言而行之者、我示爾將何以譬之、

人來從我、聞吾道而踐履之者、若斯之人、果何所似乎？吾實語爾、

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

“ Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice– I will show you what he is like:

Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.

But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.

But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell— and its collapse was great.”

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life;but to those who are self serving and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give wrath and indignation.There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek,but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

“ If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him,

For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,

The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”Judas( not Iscariot)* said to Him,“ Lord, what has happened that You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered and said to him,“ If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.The one who does not love Me does not follow My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.

Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness also has been born of Him.

Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love.If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.“ This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.You are My friends if you do what I command you.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.It is written in the Prophets:‘ And they shall all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

And yet other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as much.” As He said these things, He would call out,“ The one who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

“ Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”

He answered them,“ I told you already and you did not listen; why do you want to hear it again? You do not want to become His disciples too, do you?”They spoke abusively to him and said,“ You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I certainly will not cast out.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;

and yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

Those on the rocky soil are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and yet these do not have a firm root; they believe for a while, and in a time of temptation they fall away.

Jesus said to them,“ I am the bread of life; the one who comes to Me will not be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty.

The Jews said to Him,“ Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets as well; and yet You say,‘ If anyone follows My word, he will never taste of death.’
