人來從我、聞吾道而踐履之者、若斯之人、果何所似乎？吾實語爾、

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

Some people come and listen to me and do what I say. I will show you what they are like.

Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like:

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth[ therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed[ are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth[ it] not, to him it is sin.

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

To whom coming,[ as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God,[ and] precious,

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

If any[ man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Blessed[ are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you,[ even] the sure mercies of David.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and[ that] your joy might be full.This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Come unto me, all[ ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear[ it] again? will ye also be his disciples?Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

They on the rock[ are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
