A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up in his heart. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up in his heart. A person’s mouth says everything that is in their heart.

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

惡言勿出於口、言必善以輔德、益諸聽者、

彼驕泰詭譎、厥口詛咒、求主降罰、適當其罪兮。

基督之道、充塞爾中、懷厥智慧彼此勸誨、以詩章、歌頌、神賦、虔心頌主、

愚人之舌如鋒刃、智人之言若良藥。

舌雖小而能誇大、薪甚多、微火可燃、舌如火、在百體中、能玷一身、不義孰甚、賦畀之性亦為所爇、是其焰由地獄起、禽獸昆蟲鱗介、皆受制於人、惟舌無可制、誠為兇悍、舌猶酖毒、足必殺人、

爾謀殘害、爾行詭譎、如薙髮之刀、其鋒銛利兮、爾作惡過於好善、嗜誑愈於真實、偽為之人、爾出莠言、

義人之言如金煆煉、惡者之心有若渣滓。義者有道、可以養眾、愚人無慧、陷於死亡。

厥喉似破塋、其舌施詭詐、其唇藏蝮毒、滿口咒詛惡言、

言當婉喻、若以鹽調和、則知所以語人矣、

彼世人兮、言而不實、厥口諂諛兮、二三其德。啟口兮諂媚、掉舌兮矜誇、彼其之子兮、見絕於耶和華、彼乃曰、我將舌戰以勝之、口為我有、誰能主之、

上帝有旨、我樂從兮、爾之律法、銘刻於心兮、我於大會中、彰爾仁慈、我不敢隱、耶和華所知兮、爾之仁慈、我為昭宣、爾救人民、真實無妄、予播揚於大會中兮、

敵人來見、其言甚甘、其心實險、出而揚予之短兮、維彼仇讐、切切私語、設計以害予兮、

我民詭詐行淫、我欲去之、願遜於荒、得託足之所。耶和華曰、彼民逞舌妄言、若援弓發矢、言雖不誠、偏能得志、作惡無已、不識我道。當謹防鄰里、勿信兄弟、蓋兄弟相欺、鄰里譭謗、各相欺誑、不言真實、舌出誑詞、孳孳為惡。

聖徒不言淫行、污穢、貪婪、乃其宜也、淫辭、浮言、戲謔、則非其宜、務善言、

當日之後、吾必與以色列民、共立新約、吾將以我律法、置其衷、銘其心、我將為彼上帝、彼將為我民、

以此能予我、使我手所按者、亦受聖神、彼得曰、金與汝偕亡、爾意上帝之賜、可以金市耶、爾於此事無分無與、蓋在上帝前、爾心不正也、是宜悔改、祈求上帝、庶爾心之欲可赦、我見爾如在苦膽中、為物欲所繫也、

彼此酬答、以詩章、歌頌、神賦、口唱、心和、而讚美乎主、

彼世人兮、礪其舌鋒、猶之利刃、出其語剌、無異發矢兮、不知戒懼、陰中無辜、出諸倉猝兮、剛愎厥心、惟謀作惡、私設網罟、謂人不及見兮、居心深險、用志不紛、圖維惡事兮、上帝射之、忽被傷殘、彼之所謀、反害及身、凡目睹之者、無不遠避兮。

爾也大著仁慈、以手援予、不可計數、故予終日、讚美不輟兮、主耶和華兮、予惟爾力是恃。毅然而往、稱爾仁義而已、上帝兮、自予之幼、爾訓迪予、迄於今日、彰爾經綸兮、今我年邁、皓然白首、毋我遐棄、我將以爾能力、訓誨斯世、爰及後人兮、

維此驕人、在彼途旁、掘坎阱、張絆索、以陷余兮、設罟網、置機檻、以害余兮。

言而有物、則自信也深、時然後言、則益人也大。

莠言自口、譬諸利劍、自謂人不及知兮。

以鞫眾、責諸不虔者、為其所行背戾、亦為其狂言讟主、

然我在聖徒中、微而又微者也、上帝賜恩、使我於異邦中、傳基督之富有、人不可測、

傾耳以聽良言、專心以學智慧。守之於心、述之於口、斯為美。

昔上帝命光照暗、今照吾心、使知上帝榮、在耶穌基督而顯、我儕有此寶、藏於土器、使知莫大之能、非由我、乃由上帝、
