There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints;and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord;

Who have sharpened their tongues like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrows,To shoot from concealment at the innocent; Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.They make firm for themselves an evil purpose; They talk of setting snares secretly; They say,“ Who can see them?”They devise injustices, saying,“ We are ready with a well conceived plot”; For the inward thought and the heart of a person are deep.But God will shoot an arrow at them; Suddenly they will be wounded.So they will make him stumble; Their own tongue is against them; All who see them will shake their heads.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And of Your salvation all day long; For I do not know the art of writing.I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord God; I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone.God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds.And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

Behold, they gush forth with their mouths; Swords are in their lips, For, they say,“ Who hears?”

to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

Extend your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your mind to my knowledge;For it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, So that they may be ready on your lips.

For God, who said,“ Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.But we have this treasure in earthen containers, so that the extraordinary greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?
