現在呢、斧子已經放在樹根上了；凡不結好果子的樹都要被砍下來，丟在火裏。

然而我，我栽了你是上好的葡萄樹，全是真正的種；你怎會向我變為外來葡萄樹的偏差種呢？

『你們要認清，或是說樹好，而它的果子也好；或是說樹壞，而它的果子也壞：樹是由果子而被認識的。

從他們的果子，就可以認出來。荊棘裏哪能收取葡萄呢？蒺藜裏哪能收取無花果呢？照樣子，凡是好樹都結好果子，而壞樹卻結惡果子。好樹不能生惡果子，壞樹也不能生好果子。凡不結好果子的樹都被砍下來，丟在火裏。所以從他們的果子，就可以認出來。

分派給錫安悲哀的人，賜給他們華帽以代替爐灰，喜樂油以代替悲哀，頌讚之披風以代替暗淡沮喪之靈，使他們稱為義氣之篤耨香，是永恆主所栽種，以使自己得榮美的。

我為我的葡萄園所能作的、還有甚麼沒有作到呢？我指望着它結好葡萄，它為甚麼倒結了野葡萄呢？

義人發旺如棕樹，長高如利巴嫩的香柏樹。移植於永恆主的殿中，他們發旺於我們的上帝的院子裏。他們年老時仍然結果子；滿了汁漿、而長青翠，
