How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your friend,‘ Let me take the bit of sawdust out of your eye’? How can you say this while there is a piece of wood in your own eye? You pretender! First take the piece of wood out of your own eye. Then you will be able to see clearly to take the bit of sawdust out of your friend’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

How can you think of saying,‘ Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

因为你说‘我是富有的；我发了财，什么都不缺’，却不知道你是可悲的、可怜的、贫穷的、瞎眼的、赤身的。我建议你向我买被火炼过的金子，使你富足；又买白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞耻不露出来；又买眼药抹你的眼睛，使你能看见。

“眼睛是身体的灯，所以，如果你的眼睛纯净，你的全身就光明；如果你的眼睛污浊，你的全身就黑暗。因此，光如果在你里面成了黑暗，那是多么大的黑暗！

为我在捆锁中所生的孩子奥尼斯莫，恳求你。他从前对你没有益处，但如今对你、对我都有益处了。

哦，人哪，所以你是无法推诿的！一切评断人的啊，你在什么事上评断别人，就在什么事上定自己的罪；因为你这评断人的，你自己也在做同样的事。

求你隐藏你的脸，不看我的罪过；抹掉我一切的罪孽。神哪，求你为我造一颗纯净的心，使我里面重新有坚定的灵！不要从你面前把我丢弃，不要从我身上收回你的圣灵。求你使救恩之乐复归于我，赐甘心乐意的灵来扶助我。我就把你的道教导有过犯的人，罪人必回转归向你。

说：“哦，你这个充满一切诡诈、一切奸恶的人哪！魔鬼的儿子，一切公义的仇敌！你歪曲主的正道，还不停止吗？

彼得对他们说：“你们应当悔改，每个人都当奉耶稣基督的名受洗，使你们的罪得赦免，就会领受所赐的圣灵。

这一切都是出于神，他藉着基督使我们与他自己和好，并且把这劝人与他和好的服事工作赐给了我们。

那么，你这教导别人的，难道不教导自己吗？你这宣讲不可偷窃的，难道自己还偷窃吗？你这说不可通奸的，难道自己还通奸吗？你这憎恶偶像的，难道自己还偷取庙里的东西吗？你这以律法夸耀的，难道自己还违犯律法侮辱神吗？事实上，正如经上所记：“因你们的缘故，神的名在外邦人中受到亵渎。”你如果是遵行律法的，割礼才有益处；但你如果是违犯律法的人，你的割礼就不是割礼了。因此，那没有受割礼的人，如果遵守律法的公义规定，他虽然没有受割礼，难道不是算是受了割礼吗？并且，那生来没有受割礼却完全实行律法的人，对你这虽有律法条文和割礼却违犯律法的人，难道不是要施行审判吗？其实外表上做犹太人的，并不是犹太人；外表上、肉身上的割礼，也不是割礼。然而，在内心做犹太人的才是犹太人；同样，内心的割礼才是割礼——不是靠着律法条文而是靠着圣灵；这样的人得到的称赞不是从人来的，而是从神来的。

争讼中先陈说的虽显得公义；但对方一来，就能查验他的话。

你们和神可以见证：我们对你们这些信的人是多么圣洁、公义、无可指责的。正如你们知道我们怎样待你们每一个人，就像父亲待自己的儿女那样；我们鼓励你们，安慰你们，忠告你们，为要你们行事为人配得上那召唤你们进入他国度和荣耀的神。

“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们在人的面前封闭了天国。你们自己不进去，也不让正要进的人进去。

主回答他，说：“你们这些伪善的人！难道你们每个人在安息日，不也是把自己的牛或驴从槽边解开，牵去饮水吗？

就是说，没有具备这些的就是瞎眼的，他只看得见眼前的，忘记自己过去的罪孽已经得了洁净。

所以，如果有人洁净自己脱离卑贱的事，他就会成为贵重的器皿，被分别为圣，对主人有用，而且是为着一切美善的工作所预备好的。

但神对恶人说：“你凭什么讲述我的律例，口中提起我的约呢？实际上，你恨恶管教，把我的话语丢在身后。你看见窃贼时，就喜悦与他在一起，你又与通奸的人一同有份。你让你的口发出恶言，让你的舌编造谎话。你坐着说话攻击你的弟兄，毁谤你母亲的儿子。你做了这些，我还保持沉默；你就以为我完全像你一样；其实我要责备你，并且把这些摆列在你眼前。

你在这件事上无份无关，因为在神面前你的心不正。

彼得想起耶稣说过的话：“鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我”，就到外面去，痛哭起来。

但是，我已经为你祈求，使你不失去信仰。所以当你回转过来的时候，要坚固你的弟兄们。”

他三天不能看见，不吃也不喝。在大马士革有一个名叫阿纳尼亚的门徒。主在异象中对他说：“阿纳尼亚！”他回答说：“主啊！看哪，我在这里。”主就对他说：“起来，往那叫做‘直’的街上去，在犹大家里找一个名叫扫罗的塔尔苏人。看哪，原来他正在祷告。他在异象中看见了一个名叫阿纳尼亚的人，进来按手在他身上，使他重见光明。”阿纳尼亚却回答：“主啊，我听许多人说过有关这个人在耶路撒冷对你的圣徒们所做的种种恶事。并且，他得到祭司长们的授权来到这里，要捆绑所有求告你名的人。”但是主对他说：“你去吧！因为这个人是我所拣选的器皿，不但要在外邦人和君王面前，还要在以色列子民面前宣扬我的名。我要指示他，为了我的名他必须受多大的苦害。”阿纳尼亚就去了。他进了那家，按手在扫罗身上，说：“扫罗弟兄，在你来的路上向你显现的主耶稣差派我来，使你重见光明，并且被圣灵充满。”立刻有像鳞片一样的东西从扫罗的眼睛上掉了下来，他就重见光明了。于是他起来受了洗；吃过饭，体力就恢复了。扫罗与在大马士革的门徒们住了几天，就立刻在各会堂里传讲耶稣，说这一位就是神的儿子。
