How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your friend,‘ Let me take the bit of sawdust out of your eye’? How can you say this while there is a piece of wood in your own eye? You pretender! First take the piece of wood out of your own eye. Then you will be able to see clearly to take the bit of sawdust out of your friend’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

How can you think of saying,‘ Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

你說：我是富足的，已經發了財，毫無缺乏。卻不知你是困苦的、可憐的、貧窮的、瞎眼的、赤身的。我勸你向我買精煉的金子，使你富足；又買白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞恥不會顯露出來；也買眼藥膏抹你的眼睛，使你可以看見。

“眼睛就是身體的燈。如果你的眼睛健全，全身就都明亮；如果你的眼睛有毛病，全身就都黑暗。如果你裡面的光變成黑暗，這是多麼的黑暗！

就是為我在囚禁時所生的兒子歐尼西慕求你；他從前對你沒有甚麼好處，但現在對你我都有好處。

你這判斷人的啊！無論你是誰，都沒有辦法推諉。你在甚麼事上判斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪；因為你所作的，正是你所判斷的事。

求你掩面不看我的罪惡，求你塗抹我的一切罪孽。神啊！求你為我造一顆清潔的心，求你使我裡面重新有堅定的靈。不要把我從你面前丟棄，不要從我身上收回你的聖靈。求你使我重得你救恩的喜樂，重新有樂意的靈支持我。我就必把你的道指教有過犯的人，罪人必回轉歸向你。

說：“你這充滿各樣詭詐和各樣奸惡的人，魔鬼的兒子，公義的仇敵！你歪曲了主的正路，還不停止嗎？

彼得說：“你們應當悔改，並且每一個人都要奉耶穌基督的名受洗，使你們的罪得赦，就必領受聖靈，那白白的恩典。

這一切都是出於神，他藉著基督使我們與他自己和好，並且把這和好的職分賜給我們，

你既然教導別人，難道不教導自己嗎？你傳講不可偷竊，自己卻偷竊嗎？你說不可姦淫，自己卻姦淫嗎？你憎惡偶像，自己卻劫掠廟宇嗎？你既然以律法誇口，自己卻因犯律法而羞辱神嗎？正如經上所說的：“神的名，因你們的緣故在列邦中被褻瀆。”你若遵行律法，割禮固然有益處；但你若是犯律法的，你的割禮就不是割禮了。這樣，沒有受割禮的人，如果遵守律法所規定的，他雖然沒有受過割禮，不也算是受過割禮的嗎？那本來沒有受割禮卻遵守律法的人，就要審判你這有儀文和割禮而犯律法的人。因為表面上作猶太人的並不是猶太人，在肉身上表面的割禮也不是割禮。唯有在內心作猶太人的才是猶太人；割禮也是心裡的，是靠著聖靈而不是靠著儀文。這樣的人所受的稱讚，不是從人來的，而是從神來的。

首先陳述情由的，似乎有理，等他的鄰舍來到，才可以查明實情。

我們對你們信的人是多麼聖潔、公義、無可指摘，這是你們和神都可以作證的。正如你們知道的，我們是怎樣好像父親對待兒女一樣對待你們各人：勸勉你們，鼓勵你們，叮囑你們，要你們行事為人，配得上那召你們進入他的國和榮耀的神。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們在人面前關了天國的門，自己不進去，連正要進去的人，你們也不准他們進去。﹙有些抄本有第

主說：“偽君子啊，你們哪一個人在安息日，不從槽那裡解開牛、驢，牽去喝水呢？

人若沒有這幾樣，就是近視，簡直是瞎眼的，忘記他過去的罪已經得了潔淨。

人若自潔，離開卑賤的事，就必作貴重的器皿，成為聖潔，合主使用，預備行各樣的善事。

但神對惡人說：“你怎麼敢述說我的律例，你的口怎麼敢提到我的約呢？至於你，你憎恨管教，並且把我的話丟在背後。你看見盜賊的時候，就樂於和他在一起；你又與行淫的人有分。你使你的口亂說壞話，使你的舌頭編造謊言。你經常毀謗你的兄弟，誣衊你母親的兒子。你作了這些事，我默不作聲；你以為我和你一樣？其實我要責備你，要當面指控你。

你和這件事是毫無關係的，因為你在神面前存心不正。

彼得想起耶穌所說的話：“雞叫以前，你會三次不認我”，他就出去痛哭。

但我已經為你祈求，叫你的信心不至失掉。你回頭的時候，要堅固你的弟兄。”

他三天都不能看見甚麼，不吃也不喝。在大馬士革，有一個門徒名叫亞拿尼亞，主在異象中對他說：“亞拿尼亞！”他說：“主啊，我在這裡。”主說：“起來，到那叫直街的路上去，要在猶大家裡找一個大數人，名叫掃羅。你看，他正在禱告，在異象中他看見一個人，名叫亞拿尼亞，進來為他按手，使他可以再看得見。”但亞拿尼亞回答：“主啊，我聽見許多人說起這個人，他在耶路撒冷作了許多苦害你聖徒的事；並且他在這裡得到祭司長的授權，要捆綁所有求告你名的人。”主對他說：“你去吧！這人是我揀選的器皿，為要把我的名傳給外族人、君王和以色列人。我要指示他，為了我的名他必須受許多的苦。”亞拿尼亞就去了，進了那家，為掃羅按手，說：“掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的耶穌，就是主，差我來使你可以看見，又被聖靈充滿。”立刻有鱗狀的東西，從掃羅的眼裡掉下來，他就能看見了。於是起來，受了洗，吃過了飯，就有氣力了。他和大馬士革的門徒一同住了幾天，隨即在各會堂傳講耶穌，說他是神的兒子。
