How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your friend,‘ Let me take the bit of sawdust out of your eye’? How can you say this while there is a piece of wood in your own eye? You pretender! First take the piece of wood out of your own eye. Then you will be able to see clearly to take the bit of sawdust out of your friend’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

How can you think of saying,‘ Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

你说：我是富足的，已经发了财，毫无缺乏。却不知你是困苦的、可怜的、贫穷的、瞎眼的、赤身的。我劝你向我买精炼的金子，使你富足；又买白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞耻不会显露出来；也买眼药膏抹你的眼睛，使你可以看见。

“眼睛就是身体的灯。如果你的眼睛健全，全身就都明亮；如果你的眼睛有毛病，全身就都黑暗。如果你里面的光变成黑暗，这是多么的黑暗！

就是为我在囚禁时所生的儿子欧尼西慕求你；他从前对你没有什么好处，但现在对你我都有好处。

你这判断人的啊！无论你是谁，都没有办法推诿。你在什么事上判断人，就在什么事上定自己的罪；因为你所作的，正是你所判断的事。

求你掩面不看我的罪恶，求你涂抹我的一切罪孽。神啊！求你为我造一颗清洁的心，求你使我里面重新有坚定的灵。不要把我从你面前丢弃，不要从我身上收回你的圣灵。求你使我重得你救恩的喜乐，重新有乐意的灵支持我。我就必把你的道指教有过犯的人，罪人必回转归向你。

说：“你这充满各样诡诈和各样奸恶的人，魔鬼的儿子，公义的仇敌！你歪曲了主的正路，还不停止吗？

彼得说：“你们应当悔改，并且每一个人都要奉耶稣基督的名受洗，使你们的罪得赦，就必领受圣灵，那白白的恩典。

这一切都是出于神，他藉着基督使我们与他自己和好，并且把这和好的职分赐给我们，

你既然教导别人，难道不教导自己吗？你传讲不可偷窃，自己却偷窃吗？你说不可奸淫，自己却奸淫吗？你憎恶偶像，自己却劫掠庙宇吗？你既然以律法夸口，自己却因犯律法而羞辱神吗？正如经上所说的：“神的名，因你们的缘故在列邦中被亵渎。”你若遵行律法，割礼固然有益处；但你若是犯律法的，你的割礼就不是割礼了。这样，没有受割礼的人，如果遵守律法所规定的，他虽然没有受过割礼，不也算是受过割礼的吗？那本来没有受割礼却遵守律法的人，就要审判你这有仪文和割礼而犯律法的人。因为表面上作犹太人的并不是犹太人，在肉身上表面的割礼也不是割礼。唯有在内心作犹太人的才是犹太人；割礼也是心里的，是靠着圣灵而不是靠着仪文。这样的人所受的称赞，不是从人来的，而是从神来的。

首先陈述情由的，似乎有理，等他的邻舍来到，才可以查明实情。

我们对你们信的人是多么圣洁、公义、无可指摘，这是你们和神都可以作证的。正如你们知道的，我们是怎样好像父亲对待儿女一样对待你们各人：劝勉你们，鼓励你们，叮嘱你们，要你们行事为人，配得上那召你们进入他的国和荣耀的神。

“虚伪的经学家和法利赛人哪，你们有祸了！你们在人面前关了天国的门，自己不进去，连正要进去的人，你们也不准他们进去。﹙有些抄本有第

主说：“伪君子啊，你们哪一个人在安息日，不从槽那里解开牛、驴，牵去喝水呢？

人若没有这几样，就是近视，简直是瞎眼的，忘记他过去的罪已经得了洁净。

人若自洁，离开卑贱的事，就必作贵重的器皿，成为圣洁，合主使用，预备行各样的善事。

但神对恶人说：“你怎么敢述说我的律例，你的口怎么敢提到我的约呢？至于你，你憎恨管教，并且把我的话丢在背后。你看见盗贼的时候，就乐于和他在一起；你又与行淫的人有分。你使你的口乱说坏话，使你的舌头编造谎言。你经常毁谤你的兄弟，诬蔑你母亲的儿子。你作了这些事，我默不作声；你以为我和你一样？其实我要责备你，要当面指控你。

你和这件事是毫无关系的，因为你在神面前存心不正。

彼得想起耶稣所说的话：“鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我”，他就出去痛哭。

但我已经为你祈求，叫你的信心不至失掉。你回头的时候，要坚固你的弟兄。”

他三天都不能看见什么，不吃也不喝。在大马士革，有一个门徒名叫亚拿尼亚，主在异象中对他说：“亚拿尼亚！”他说：“主啊，我在这里。”主说：“起来，到那叫直街的路上去，要在犹大家里找一个大数人，名叫扫罗。你看，他正在祷告，在异象中他看见一个人，名叫亚拿尼亚，进来为他按手，使他可以再看得见。”但亚拿尼亚回答：“主啊，我听见许多人说起这个人，他在耶路撒冷作了许多苦害你圣徒的事；并且他在这里得到祭司长的授权，要捆绑所有求告你名的人。”主对他说：“你去吧！这人是我拣选的器皿，为要把我的名传给外族人、君王和以色列人。我要指示他，为了我的名他必须受许多的苦。”亚拿尼亚就去了，进了那家，为扫罗按手，说：“扫罗弟兄，在你来的路上向你显现的耶稣，就是主，差我来使你可以看见，又被圣灵充满。”立刻有鳞状的东西，从扫罗的眼里掉下来，他就能看见了。于是起来，受了洗，吃过了饭，就有气力了。他和大马士革的门徒一同住了几天，随即在各会堂传讲耶稣，说他是神的儿子。
