“ But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

我告爾眾、爾其諦聽！「愛爾仇、恤爾敵；」

“ But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.

“ You have heard that it was said,‘ You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

“ If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it.

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written,“ Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.Therefore“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Then He said to them,“ Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.

“ If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him( Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for a curse on his soul);If the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?’

Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake.

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
