“ But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

我告爾眾、爾其諦聽！「愛爾仇、恤爾敵；」

“ But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to ungrateful and evil people.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and when he stumbles do not let your heart rejoice,

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

“ You have heard that it was said,‘ Love your neighbor’ and‘ hate your enemy.’But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you,so that you may be like your Father in heaven, since he causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.

“ If you encounter your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, you must by all means return it to him.If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen under its load, you must not ignore him, but be sure to help him with it.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people.If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written,“ Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing this you will be heaping burning coals on his head.Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

And he said to them,“ Take care about what you hear. The measure you use will be the measure you receive, and more will be added to you.

If I have rejoiced over the misfortune of my enemy or exulted because calamity found him–I have not even permitted my mouth to sin by asking for his life through a curse–if the members of my household have never said,‘ If only there were someone who has not been satisfied from Job’s meat!’–

“ Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil on account of the Son of Man!

But as for the seed that landed on good soil, these are the ones who, after hearing the word, cling to it with an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with steadfast endurance.

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

Then he fell to his knees and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” When he had said this, he died.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, and it is the glory of a king to search out a matter.

Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.” (niv)
