“ But I say to you who listen: Love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you,

See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

Don’t gloat when your enemy falls, and don’t let your heart rejoice when he stumbles,

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

“ You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

“ If you come across your enemy’s stray ox or donkey, you must return it to him.“ If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying helpless under its load, and you want to refrain from helping it, you must help with it.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Give careful thought to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes.If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head.Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

And he said to them,“ Pay attention to what you hear. By the measure you use, it will be measured to you— and more will be added to you.

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?I have not allowed my mouth to sin by asking for his life with a curse.Haven’t the members of my household said,“ Who is there who has not had enough to eat at Job’s table?”

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.

But the seed in the good ground— these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, produce fruit.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.

He knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” And after saying this, he fell asleep.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to investigate a matter.
