若為人子故、不容於世俗、既被人棄絕、更受人凌辱、乃至將爾名、視之如荼毒、爾乃真福人、即日當歡躍；

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they have nothing to do with you and say bad things about you, and when they treat your name as something evil. They do all this because you are followers of the Son of Man.

“ Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!

What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.

Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

You are blessed when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.

“ Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.

And you will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Dear friends, do not be astonished that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as though something strange were happening to you.But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad.If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.But let none of you suffer as a murderer or thief or criminal or as a troublemaker.But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear such a name.

as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all.Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

They will put you out of the synagogue, yet a time is coming when the one who kills you will think he is offering service to God.

But in fact, if you happen to suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. But do not be terrified of them or be shaken.

For you became imitators, brothers and sisters, of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, because you too suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they in fact did from the Jews,who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us severely. They are displeasing to God and are opposed to all people,

and by not being intimidated in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of their destruction, but of your salvation– a sign which is from God.For it has been granted to you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him,since you are encountering the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it that its deeds are evil.

Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they would not confess Jesus to be the Christ, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue.

For this finds God’s favor, if because of conscience toward God someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.For what credit is it if you sin and are mistreated and endure it? But if you do good and suffer and so endure, this finds favor with God.

You will be hated by everyone because of my name.

They say,‘ Keep to yourself! Don’t get near me, for I am holier than you!’ These people are like smoke in my nostrils, like a fire that keeps burning all day long.

We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, we are dishonored!To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.

Hear the word of the LORD, you who respect what he has to say! Your countrymen, who hate you and exclude you, supposedly for the sake of my name, say,“ May the LORD be glorified, then we will witness your joy.” But they will be put to shame.

Are they servants of Christ?( I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.Five times I received from the Jews forty lashes less one.Three times I was beaten with a rod. Once I received a stoning. Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers,

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

The crowd was listening to him until he said this. Then they raised their voices and shouted,“ Away with this man from the earth! For he should not be allowed to live!”

“ If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me first.If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.Remember what I told you,‘ A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they obeyed my word, they will obey yours too.But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.

For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”

So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life because of me will find it.

( His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jewish religious leaders. For the Jewish leaders had already agreed that anyone who confessed Jesus to be the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.For this reason his parents said,“ He is a mature adult, ask him.”)Then they summoned the man who used to be blind a second time and said to him,“ Promise before God to tell the truth. We know that this man is a sinner.”He replied,“ I do not know whether he is a sinner. I do know one thing– that although I was blind, now I can see.”Then they said to him,“ What did he do to you? How did he cause you to see?”He answered,“ I told you already and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You people don’t want to become his disciples too, do you?”They heaped insults on him, saying,“ You are his disciple! We are disciples of Moses!

They replied,“ You were born completely in sinfulness, and yet you presume to teach us?” So they threw him out.

“ You must watch out for yourselves. You will be handed over to councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them.First the gospel must be preached to all nations.When they arrest you and hand you over for trial, do not worry about what to speak. But say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.Brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against parents and have them put to death.You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

For we have found this man to be a troublemaker, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

And you will be brought before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them and the Gentiles.
