And He raised His eyes toward His disciples and began saying,“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

耶穌舉目視門徒曰、爾貧者福矣、以天主之國、乃爾之國也、

耶穌舉目視諸徒曰：『福哉爾貧者、天國爾曹屬。

Looking at his disciples, he said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Jesus looked at his disciples. He said to them,“ Blessed are you who are needy. God’s kingdom belongs to you.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said,“ God blesses you who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours.

Then looking up at his disciples, he said: Blessed are you who are poor, because the kingdom of God is yours.

Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then looking up at His disciples, He said: You who are poor are blessed, because the kingdom of God is yours.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed[ be ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then he looked up at his disciples and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God belongs to you.

He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,“ Blessed are you who are poor, God’s Kingdom is yours.

And He raised His eyes toward His disciples and began saying,“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.Rejoice on that day and jump for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers used to treat the prophets the same way.But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full.

Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: did God not choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

“ Then the King will say to those on His right,‘ Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

‘ I know your tribulation and your poverty( but you are rich), and the slander by those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.

as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.

The afflicted also will increase their joy in the Lord, And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

But I will leave among you A humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge in the name of the Lord.

And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.“ Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.“ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.“ Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.“ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.“ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.“ Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

This is a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.

He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap,To seat them with noblemen, With the noblemen of His people.

For consider your calling, brothers and sisters, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,and the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,so that no human may boast before God.

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.

Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked.

Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity Than a person who is perverse in speech and is a fool.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the breath of those whom I have made.

It is better to be humble in spirit with the needy Than to divide the spoils with the proud.

You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word during great affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

For My hand made all these things, So all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.“ But I will look to this one, At one who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Now when one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him,“ Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!”

And extending His hand toward His disciples, He said,“ Behold: My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying,“ It is through many tribulations that we must enter the kingdom of God.”

So then, no one is to be boasting in people. For all things belong to you,whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come; all things belong to you,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,

Not one of the rulers or Pharisees has believed in Him, has he?But this crowd that does not know the Law is accursed!”

He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.

that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.

So it was broken on that day, and so the afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the Lord.

In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.

those who are blind receive sight and those who limp walk, those with leprosy are cleansed and those who are deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

And looking around at those who were sitting around Him, He* said,“ Here are My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother.”
