他们一进城，就上了所住的楼房；在那里有彼得、约翰、雅各、安得烈、腓力、多马、巴多罗买、马太、亚勒腓的儿子雅各、激进党的西门，和雅各的儿子犹大。

要你们记得圣先知预先所说的话和主—救主的命令，就是使徒所传给你们的。

被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶稣自己为房角石，

使你们在我的国里坐在我的席上吃喝，并且坐在宝座上审判以色列十二个支派。”

他看见一大群人，就怜悯他们；因为他们困苦无助，如同羊没有牧人一样。于是他对门徒说：“要收的庄稼多，做工的人少。所以，你们要求庄稼的主差遣做工的人出去收他的庄稼。”耶稣叫了十二个门徒来，给他们权柄，能驱赶污灵和医治各样的疾病。这十二使徒的名字如下：头一个叫西门（又称彼得），还有他弟弟安得烈，西庇太的儿子雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰，腓力和巴多罗买，多马和税吏马太，亚勒腓的儿子雅各，和达太，激进党的西门，还有出卖耶稣的加略人犹大。

所以，神的智慧也曾说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要残杀，有的他们要迫害’，

同蒙天召的圣洁弟兄啊，要思想我们所宣认为使者、为大祭司的耶稣；

耶稣叫齐了十二使徒，给他们能力和权柄制伏一切的鬼，医治疾病，又差遣他们宣讲神的国，医治病人，

天上出现了一个大兆头：有一个妇人身披太阳，脚踏月亮，头戴十二颗星的冠冕；

天哪，众圣徒、众使徒、众先知啊！你们都要因她欢喜，因为神已经在她身上为你们伸了冤。”

他所赐的有使徒，有先知，有传福音的，有牧者和教师，
