Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.

And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise,

and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.

But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition.For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death:but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, Given to God;ye no longer suffer him to do aught for his father or his mother;making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.

Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen.For therein the elders had witness borne to them.
