法利賽人與其士子咎門徒曰、爾曹胡為與稅吏罪人飲食乎、

士子、𠵽唎㘔人、譏門徒曰、何為與稅吏罪人飲食乎、

經士及法利賽人、譏耶穌門徒曰、爾曹何與稅吏及罪人共食乎、

法利塞人與經生見而不悅、謂耶穌門徒曰：『爾等胡為與稅吏罪人共席？』

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

But the Pharisees and their teachers of the law complained to Jesus’ disciples. They said,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

於是大大地喧嚷起來。有幾個法利賽黨的文士站起來爭辯說：「我們看不出這人有甚麼惡處，倘若有鬼魂或是天使對他說過話，怎麼樣呢？」

請耶穌的法利賽人看見這事，心裏說：「這人若是先知，必知道摸他的是誰，是個怎樣的女人；乃是個罪人。」

原來法利賽人和猶太人都拘守古人的遺傳，若不仔細洗手就不吃飯；

且對人說：你站開吧！不要挨近我，因為我比你聖潔。主說：這些人是我鼻中的煙，是整天燒着的火。

文士和法利賽人就議論說：「這說僭妄話的是誰？除了神以外，誰能赦罪呢？」

眾人看見，都私下議論說：「他竟到罪人家裏去住宿。」

法利賽人站着，自言自語地禱告說：『神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。

有一天，耶穌教訓人，有法利賽人和教法師在旁邊坐着；他們是從加利利各鄉村和猶太並耶路撒冷來的。主的能力與耶穌同在，使他能醫治病人。

又說：「一個人有兩個兒子。他來對大兒子說：『我兒，你今天到葡萄園裏去做工。』他回答說：『我不去』，以後自己懊悔，就去了。又來對小兒子也是這樣說。他回答說：『父啊，我去』，他卻不去。你們想，這兩個兒子是哪一個遵行父命呢？」他們說：「大兒子。」耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，稅吏和娼妓倒比你們先進神的國。因為約翰遵着義路到你們這裏來，你們卻不信他；稅吏和娼妓倒信他。你們看見了，後來還是不懊悔去信他。」

眾稅吏和罪人都挨近耶穌，要聽他講道。法利賽人和文士私下議論說：「這個人接待罪人，又同他們吃飯。」

眾百姓和稅吏既受過約翰的洗，聽見這話，就以神為義；但法利賽人和律法師沒有受過約翰的洗，竟為自己廢棄了神的旨意。

人子來，也吃也喝，你們說他是貪食好酒的人，是稅吏和罪人的朋友。
