眾人看見就起了敬畏之心，就榮耀神，因為他賜給人這樣的權柄。

她們立即離開墓穴，又懼怕，又大大歡喜，跑去告訴耶穌的門徒們。

西門彼得看見，就俯伏在耶穌腳前，說：「主啊，離開我吧，因為我是個罪人！」

格拉森一帶的全體民眾請求耶穌離開他們，因為他們十分懼怕。耶穌就上船回去了。

眾人都十分驚訝，說：「難道這個人就是『大衛的後裔』？」

官長們又威嚇他們一番，為了民眾的緣故把他們釋放了。官長們找不出任何理由來懲罰他們，因為眾人都為所發生的事不住地榮耀神。

他們就因我的緣故不住地榮耀神。

那個人就立刻起來，拿起墊子在大家面前出去了。結果大家都驚訝，就榮耀神，說：「我們從來沒有見過這樣的事。」

全教會和所有聽到這些事的人都大為恐懼。主藉著使徒們的手，在民間行了很多神蹟和奇事。信徒們都同心合意地聚集在所羅門柱廊裡。雖然其他的人沒有一個敢與他們交往，但民眾都尊敬他們。
