看見的人都充滿了敬畏，就讚美把這樣的權柄賜給人的上帝。

在場的人驚懼萬分，把榮耀歸給上帝，說：「我們中間出了一位大先知！」又說：「上帝眷顧了祂的百姓！」

她們聽了又驚又喜，連忙離開墳墓，跑去告訴門徒。

西門·彼得見狀，便跪倒在耶穌膝前說：「主啊，離開我，我是個罪人！」

格拉森地區的居民都十分害怕，請求耶穌離開那裡，耶穌便乘船回去了。

眾人都很驚奇，就說：「這人會不會是大衛的那個後裔？」

這城要使我在天下萬國面前得到尊崇、頌讚和榮耀。萬民聽見我使這城繁榮昌盛，都恐懼戰慄。』」

官長實在不知道如何懲治使徒，只好再三恐嚇之後把他們放了，因為百姓都為這個神蹟讚美上帝。

之後，以色列人將回心轉意，尋求他們的上帝耶和華，歸向他們的君王大衛。在末後的日子，他們將懷著敬畏的心歸向耶和華，領受祂的恩惠。

於是他們因為我的緣故將榮耀歸給上帝。

那人就站起來，馬上收拾好墊子，當著眾人的面走了出去。眾人都十分驚奇，讚美上帝說：「我們從來沒見過這樣的事！」

整個教會和聽見這件事的人都非常懼怕。主藉著使徒們在百姓中行了許多神蹟奇事，大家同心合意地在所羅門廊那裡聚會。其他人不敢接近他們，不過百姓都很敬重他們。
