Just then some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and set him down before him.

这时候，有几个人用床榻抬来一个瘫痪的人，想把他带进去放在耶稣面前。

有人用褥子擡着一個癱子，要擡進去放在耶穌面前，

有人帶着一個癱瘓的人在床上，直想法子要把他帶進去、放在耶穌面前。

這時候，有幾個人用床榻抬來一個癱瘓的人，想把他帶進去放在耶穌面前。

或以榻舁癱瘓者、求舁之入而置其前、

有以床舁癱瘋者、欲尋間而入、置耶穌前、

有人以榻舁癱瘓者來、欲舁之進室、置耶穌前、

有人以榻畀一癩者至、欲進求耶穌、

Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.

So some men came carrying a man who could not walk. He was lying on a mat. They tried to take him into the house to place him in front of Jesus.

And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus,

Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus,

And some men were carrying a man on a stretcher who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of Him.

Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him.

And behold, men bring on a bed a man that was palsied: and they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

Just then some men showed up, carrying a paralyzed man on a stretcher. They were trying to bring him in and place him before Jesus.

Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Jesus.

Just then some men brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”At this, some of the scribes said to themselves,“ He’s blaspheming!”Perceiving their thoughts, Jesus said,“ Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts?For which is easier: to say,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up and walk’?But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— then he told the paralytic,“ Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”So he got up and went home.When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and gave glory to God, who had given such authority to men.

They came to him bringing a paralytic, carried by four of them.Since they were not able to bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and after digging through it, they lowered the mat on which the paralytic was lying.Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Son, your sins are forgiven.”But some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts:“ Why does he speak like this? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”Right away Jesus perceived in his spirit that they were thinking like this within themselves and said to them,“ Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?Which is easier: to say to the paralytic,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up, take your mat, and walk’?But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he told the paralytic—“ I tell you: get up, take your mat, and go home.”Immediately he got up, took the mat, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”

One man was there who had been disabled for thirty-eight years.When Jesus saw him lying there and realized he had already been there a long time, he said to him,“ Do you want to get well?”

There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years.
