这时，有几万人聚集，甚至彼此践踏。耶稣开讲，先对门徒说：“你们要防备法利赛人的酵，就是假冒为善。

有许多人到他那里，带着瘸子、瞎子、哑巴、有残疾的，和好些别的病人，都放在他脚前；他就治好了他们。甚至众人都希奇；因为看见哑巴说话，残疾的痊愈，瘸子行走，瞎子看见，他们就归荣耀给以色列的神。

于是这风声传遍了那地方。

那人出去，倒说许多的话，把这件事传扬开了，叫耶稣以后不得再明明地进城，只好在外边旷野地方。人从各处都就了他来。过了些日子，耶稣又进了迦百农。人听见他在房子里，就有许多人聚集，甚至连门前都没有空地；耶稣就对他们讲道。

耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂里教训人，传天国的福音，医治百姓各样的病症。他的名声就传遍了叙利亚。那里的人把一切害病的，就是害各样疾病、各样疼痛的和被鬼附的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，都带了来，耶稣就治好了他们。当下，有许多人从加利利、低加波利、耶路撒冷、犹太、约旦河外来跟着他。

耶稣的名声就传遍了加利利的四方。

有许多人因为看见他在病人身上所行的神迹，就跟随他。

有极多的人和耶稣同行。他转过来对他们说：

耶稣和门徒退到海边去，有许多人从加利利跟随他。

敬畏耶和华是智慧的训诲；尊荣以前，必有谦卑。

这样，善行也有明显的，那不明显的也不能隐藏。
