那時有成千上萬的人聚在一起，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌就先對門徒說：“你們要提防法利賽人的酵，就是虛偽。

有許多人來到他那裡，把瘸腿的、瞎眼的、殘廢的、啞的和許多別的病人，都帶到耶穌跟前，他就醫好他們。群眾看見啞巴說話，殘廢的復原，瘸腿的行走，瞎眼的看見，就十分驚奇，於是頌讚以色列的神。

這消息傳遍了那一帶。

但那人出來，竟任意傳講，就把這事傳開了，以致耶穌不能再公開進城，只好留在外邊荒野的地方；然而還是有人從各處到他那裡去。過了些日子，耶穌再回到迦百農。一聽說他在屋子裡，許多人就都來聚集，甚至連門前都沒有地方了，耶穌就對他們講道。

耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裡教導人，宣揚天國的福音，醫治民間各種疾病、各種病症。他的名聲傳遍了敘利亞全地，人們就把一切患病的，就是患各種疾病、疼痛、鬼附、癲癇、癱瘓的，都帶到他面前，他就醫好他們。於是有許多人從加利利、低加波利、耶路撒冷、猶太和約旦河東來跟從耶穌。

耶穌的名聲立刻傳遍了加利利一帶。

有一大群人，因為看見了他在病人身上所行的神蹟，就跟隨了他。

有許多人與耶穌同行，他轉身對他們說：

耶穌和門徒退到海邊去，一大群從加利利來的人跟著他；

敬畏耶和華是智慧的教訓；尊榮以先，必有謙卑。

照樣，善行也是明顯的，就算不明顯，也不能隱藏。
