這時，成千上萬的人聚集在一起，甚至互相踐踏。耶穌先對門徒說：「你們要提防法利賽人的酵，就是他們的偽善。

大群的人把瘸子、瞎子、殘疾的、啞巴及許多別的病人帶來，放在祂腳前，祂就治好了他們。大家看見啞巴說話，殘疾的復原，瘸子走路，瞎子看見，都很驚奇，就讚美以色列的上帝。

這件事傳遍了整個地區。

但那人離開之後，卻到處傳揚這件事，以致耶穌無法再公開進城。祂只能待在城外的曠野，可是人們仍從各處來找祂。幾天後，耶穌回到迦百農。祂在家的消息一傳開，立刻有許多人蜂擁而來，連門外也擠滿了人。耶穌正給他們講道的時候，

耶穌走遍加利利，在各個會堂裡教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治人們各樣的疾病。祂的名聲傳遍了整個敘利亞。人們把一切患病的，就是患各種疾病的、疼痛的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，以及被鬼附身的都帶到祂面前，祂都醫治了他們。因此，有大群的人跟從了祂，他們來自加利利、低加坡里、耶路撒冷、猶太和約旦河東。

於是，耶穌的名聲立刻傳遍了整個加利利。

許多人因為見過耶穌治病的神蹟，就跟隨了祂。

有一大群人跟著耶穌，祂轉身對他們說：

耶穌和門徒退到湖邊，有一大群人從加利利來跟隨祂。

敬畏耶和華使人得智慧，學會謙卑後才能得尊榮。

同樣，有些善行很明顯，不明顯的也不會被長久埋沒。
