One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.

On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret,

So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

As the crowd was pressing in on Jesus to hear God’s word, He was standing by Lake Gennesaret.

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers— Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew— throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.Jesus called out to them,“ Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”And they left their nets at once and followed him.A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too.They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret.

Sihon also controlled the Jordan Valley and regions to the east— from as far north as the Sea of Galilee to as far south as the Dead Sea, including the road to Beth jeshimoth and southward to the slopes of Pisgah.

then down to Riblah on the east side of Ain. From there the boundary will run down along the eastern edge of the Sea of Galilee,

Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him.

They also received the Jordan Valley, all the way from the Sea of Galilee down to the Dead Sea, with the Jordan River serving as the western boundary. To the east were the slopes of Pisgah.

And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.

Meanwhile, the crowds grew until thousands were milling about and stepping on each other. Jesus turned first to his disciples and warned them,“ Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees— their hypocrisy.

After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret. They brought the boat to shore

Jesus instructed his disciples to have a boat ready so the crowd would not crush him.

“ Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said,“ Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”
