魔鬼就帶他進了聖城，叫他站在殿頂上，對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以跳下去，因為經上記着說：主要為你吩咐他的使者用手托着你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。」

他們喊着說：「神的兒子，我們與你有甚麼相干？時候還沒有到，你就上這裏來叫我們受苦嗎？」

耶和華對撒但說：「他在你手中，只要存留他的性命。」

殿前的廊子長二十肘，與殿的寬窄一樣，高一百二十肘；裏面貼上精金。

按聖善的靈說，因從死裏復活，以大能顯明是神的兒子。
