我把在上帝那裏所聽見的真理告訴了你們，現在你們卻想要殺我；亞伯拉罕沒有做過這樣的事。

喊着：「以色列人哪，來幫忙！這就是在各處教導眾人糟蹋我們百姓、律法和這地方的人。不但如此，他還帶了希臘人進聖殿，污穢了這聖地。」這話是因他們曾看見以弗所人特羅非摩跟保羅一起在城裏，以為保羅帶他進了聖殿。於是全城都騷動，百姓一齊跑來，拿住保羅，拉他出聖殿，殿門立刻都關了。他們正想要殺他，有人報信給營裏的千夫長，說耶路撒冷全城都亂了。千夫長立刻帶着士兵和幾個百夫長，跑下去到他們那裏。他們見了千夫長和士兵，就停下來不打保羅。

我若沒有在他們中間做過別人未曾做的事，他們就沒有罪；但如今連我與我的父，他們也看見了，也恨惡了。這是要應驗他們律法上所寫的話：『他們無故地恨我。』

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「這人應當處死；全會眾要在營外用石頭打死他。」

「我知道，你們是亞伯拉罕的後裔，你們卻想要殺我，因為你們心裏容不下我的道。

惡人刀已出鞘，弓已上弦，要砍倒困苦貧窮的人，要殺害行為正直的人。

所以，耶穌也在城門外受苦，為要用自己的血使百姓成聖。

眾人大聲喊叫，摀着耳朵，齊心衝向他，把他推到城外，用石頭打他。作見證的人把他們的衣裳放在一個名叫掃羅的青年腳前。

打了許多棍，就把他們下在監裏，囑咐獄警嚴緊看守。獄警領了這樣的命令，就把他們下在內監，兩腳拴在木架上。

猶大人又生擒了一萬人，把他們帶到西拉山頂上，從西拉山頂扔下去，把他們全都摔碎了。
