喊叫说：“以色列人来帮助，这就是在各处教训众人糟践我们百姓和律法，并这地方的。他又带着希腊人进殿，污秽了这圣地。”（这话是因他们曾看见以弗所人特罗非摩同保罗在城里，以为保罗带他进了殿。）合城都震动，百姓一齐跑来，拿住保罗，拉他出殿，殿门立刻都关了。他们正想要杀他，有人报信给营里的千夫长说：“耶路撒冷合城都乱了。”千夫长立时带着兵丁和几个百夫长，跑下去到他们那里。他们见了千夫长和兵丁，就止住不打保罗。

我若没有在他们中间行过别人未曾行的事，他们就没有罪；但如今连我与我的父，他们也看见也恨恶了。这要应验他们律法上所写的话，说：‘他们无故地恨我。’

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“总要把那人治死；全会众要在营外用石头把他打死。”

我知道你们是亚伯拉罕的子孙，你们却想要杀我，因为你们心里容不下我的道。

恶人已经弓上弦，刀出鞘，要打倒困苦穷乏的人，要杀害行动正直的人。

所以，耶稣要用自己的血叫百姓成圣，也就在城门外受苦。

众人大声喊叫，捂着耳朵，齐心拥上前去，把他推到城外，用石头打他。作见证的人把衣裳放在一个少年人名叫扫罗的脚前。

打了许多棍，便将他们下在监里，嘱咐禁卒严紧看守。禁卒领了这样的命，就把他们下在内监里，两脚上了木狗。

犹大人又生擒了一万带到山崖上，从那里把他们扔下去，以致他们都摔碎了。
