Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my business? Are you jealous because I’m generous?’

In that same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said,“ I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.

“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

Now the woman was Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to drive the demon out of her daughter.He said to her,“ Allow the children to be satisfied first, because it isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”But she replied to Him,“ Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”Then He told her,“ Because of this reply, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”

He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him

For He tells Moses: I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,

But who are you, a mere man, to talk back to God? Will what is formed say to the one who formed it,“ Why did you make me like this?”
