耶和華說：我的意念非同你們的意念；我的道路非同你們的道路。

這婦人是希臘人，屬敘利腓尼基族。她求耶穌趕出那鬼離開她的女兒。耶穌對她說：「讓兒女們先吃飽，不好拿兒女的餅丟給狗吃。」婦人回答說：「主啊，不錯；但是狗在桌子底下也吃孩子們的碎渣兒。」耶穌對她說：「因這句話，你回去吧；鬼已經離開你的女兒了。」

都是照他自己所預定的美意，叫我們知道他旨意的奧祕，

因他對摩西說：我要憐憫誰就憐憫誰，要恩待誰就恩待誰。

我們也在他裏面得了基業；這原是那位隨己意行、做萬事的，照着他旨意所預定的，

你這個人哪，你是誰，竟敢向神強嘴呢？受造之物豈能對造他的說：「你為甚麼這樣造我呢？」
