But I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his own hometown.

可是我实在告诉你们，先知在自己的家乡都是不受欢迎的。

他又说：“我实在告诉你们，没有先知在他本乡是受欢迎的。

耶稣又说：“我确实地告诉你们：没有一位先知在自己的家乡是受欢迎的。

又說：「我實在告訴你們，沒有先知在自己家鄉被人悅納的。

他又說：「我實在告訴你們，沒有先知在自己家鄉被人接納的。

他又說：「我實在告訴你們，沒有先知在自己家鄉被人接納的。

可是我實在告訴你們，先知在自己的家鄉都是不受歡迎的。

他就說：『我實在告訴你們，沒有神言人在自己家鄉受接納的。

耶穌又說：「我確實地告訴你們：沒有一位先知在自己的家鄉是受歡迎的。

我誠告爾、未有先知、而見重於故土者、

既又曰：『予誠語爾、先知未有見容於故土者也。

“ Truly I tell you,” he continued,“ no prophet is accepted in his hometown.

“ What I’m about to tell you is true,” he continued.“ A prophet is not accepted in his hometown.

And he said,“ Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

Then He said,“ Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.

And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.

And he added,“ I tell you the truth, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

He said,“ Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them,“ A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.”

He himself had said that a prophet is not honored in his own hometown.

Then Jesus told them,“ A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.”And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Then Paul said,“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, and I was brought up and educated here in Jerusalem under Gamaliel. As his student, I was carefully trained in our Jewish laws and customs. I became very zealous to honor God in everything I did, just like all of you today.

I saw a vision of Jesus saying to me,‘ Hurry! Leave Jerusalem, for the people here won’t accept your testimony about me.’“‘ But Lord,’ I argued,‘ they certainly know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you.And I was in complete agreement when your witness Stephen was killed. I stood by and kept the coats they took off when they stoned him.’“ But the Lord said to me,‘ Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”The crowd listened until Paul said that word. Then they all began to shout,“ Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!”
