眾皆領教、且歎佩其口中所發之仁言、咸相謂曰：『此非若瑟之子耶？』

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips.“ Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

說：「這不是約瑟的兒子耶穌嗎？他的父母我們豈不認得嗎？他如今怎麼說『我是從天上降下來的』呢？」

心中有智慧，必稱為通達人；嘴中的甜言，加增人的學問。

來到自己的家鄉，在會堂裏教訓人，甚至他們都希奇，說：「這人從哪裏有這等智慧和異能呢？這不是木匠的兒子嗎？他母親不是叫馬利亞嗎？他弟兄們不是叫雅各、約西、西門、猶大嗎？他妹妹們不是都在我們這裏嗎？這人從哪裏有這一切的事呢？」

你比世人更美；在你嘴裏滿有恩惠；所以神賜福給你，直到永遠。

主耶和華賜我受教者的舌頭，使我知道怎樣用言語扶助疲乏的人。主每早晨提醒，提醒我的耳朵，使我能聽，像受教者一樣。

到了安息日，他在會堂裏教訓人。眾人聽見，就甚希奇，說：「這人從哪裏有這些事呢？所賜給他的是甚麼智慧？他手所做的是何等的異能呢？這不是那木匠嗎？不是馬利亞的兒子雅各、約西、猶大、西門的長兄嗎？他妹妹們不也是在我們這裏嗎？」他們就厭棄他。

言語純全，無可指責，叫那反對的人，既無處可說我們的不是，便自覺羞愧。

傳道者專心尋求可喜悅的言語，是憑正直寫的誠實話。智慧人的言語好像刺棍；會中之師的言語又像釘穩的釘子，都是一個牧者所賜的。

司提反是以智慧和聖靈說話，眾人敵擋不住，

差役回答說：「從來沒有像他這樣說話的！」

一句話說得合宜，就如金蘋果在銀網子裏。

他的口極其甘甜；他全然可愛。耶路撒冷的眾女子啊，這是我的良人；這是我的朋友。

凡聽見他的，都希奇他的聰明和他的應對。

因為我必賜你們口才、智慧，是你們一切敵人所敵不住、駁不倒的。

義人的嘴能令人喜悅；惡人的口說乖謬的話。

為真理、謙卑、公義赫然坐車前往，無不得勝；你的右手必顯明可畏的事。
