心中有智慧的必称为聪明人；动听的话能增加说服力。

他回到自己的家乡，在会堂里教导人，众人都惊奇，说：“这个人的智慧和能力是从哪里来的呢？他不是木匠的儿子吗？他母亲不是马利亚，他弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？他妹妹不是都在我们这里吗？他这一切是从哪里来的呢？”

你比世人都美好；你的嘴唇吐出恩言；因此，神赐福给你，直到永远。

主耶和华赐给了我一个受教者的舌头，使我知道怎样用言语扶助疲乏的人；主每天清晨唤醒我，他每天清晨唤醒我的耳朵，使我能像受教者一样静听。

到了安息日，他开始在会堂里教导人；很多人听见了，都惊奇地说：“这个人从哪里得来这一切呢？所赐给他的是怎么样的智慧，竟然藉着他的手行出这样的神迹？这不是那木匠吗？不是马利亚的儿子，雅各、约西、犹大、西门的哥哥吗？他的妹妹们不也在我们这里吗？”他们就厌弃耶稣。

言词要纯正，无可指摘，使反对的人因为无从毁谤，就自觉惭愧。

传道者搜寻可喜悦的话，正确地写下真理。智慧人的言语像刺棒，他们所汇集的箴言像钉牢的钉子，都是一位牧者所赐的。

但司提反靠着圣灵和智慧说话，他们就抵挡不住。

差役回答：“从来没有人像他这样讲话的！”

一句话说得合宜，就像金苹果镶在银的器物上。

他的口甜蜜；他全然可爱。耶路撒冷的众女子啊！这就是我的良人，我的朋友。

所有听见他的人，都希奇他的聪明和应对。

因为我必赐给你们口才、智慧，是你们所有的敌人不能抵抗，也不能驳倒的。

义人的嘴使人喜悦，恶人的口说乖谬的话。

在你的威严中，为了真理、谦卑和公义的缘故，你胜利地乘车前进；愿你的右手施行可畏的事。
