有人把神言人以賽亞的書卷遞給他；他把書卷打開，找到一個地方、寫着說：

卻尋不出所可行的；因為眾民都緊纏着耶穌來聽他。

清早又到殿裏；眾民都到他那裏；他就坐下，教訓他們。

當那時候耶穌對羣眾說：『你們出來，帶着刀棒要捉拿我，如同拿強盜麼？我天天坐在殿裏教訓人，你們並沒有抓住我呀！

安息之日、我們走出城門，到了河邊，我們以為是個禱告地方；既已坐下，便對聚攏來的婦女講論。

耶穌看見一羣一羣的人，就上了山；既已坐下，門徒上前來；他就開口教訓他們說：

耶穌上了其中的一隻船、是西門的，請他划出去、稍微離岸。他就坐下，從船上教訓羣眾。

你們中間並不是這樣：不，你們中間凡想要做大的，就該做你們的僕役；你們中間凡想要為首的，就該做你們的奴僕；正如人子來，並不是要受服事，乃是要服事人，並且將性命獻出，替許多人做贖價。』

他們卻從別加走過去，來到彼西底的安提阿，在安息之日進會堂裏坐下。律法和神言人的書宣讀了以後，會堂管事們就差遣人到他們跟前說：『同人弟兄們，你們心裏若有甚麼要向民眾勸勉的話，請說。』保羅就站起來，擺着手說：『以色列人和敬畏上帝的人哪，請聽！

當那一天、耶穌從屋子裏出來，在海邊坐着；有一大羣人聚集到他那裏，他只得上船坐下，全羣的人都站在灘上。

彼得看見，就應時對人民說：『以色列人哪，你們為甚麼因這事而希奇呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，好像我們憑着自己的能力或敬虔使這個人能走路呢？
