但尋不出法子來，因為百姓都側耳聽他。

當時，耶穌對眾人說：「你們帶着刀棒出來拿我，如同拿強盜嗎？我天天坐在殿裏教訓人，你們並沒有拿我。

當安息日，我們出城門，到了河邊，知道那裏有一個禱告的地方，我們就坐下對那聚會的婦女講道。

耶穌看見這許多的人，就上了山，既已坐下，門徒到他跟前來，他就開口教訓他們，說：

有一隻船是西門的，耶穌就上去，請他把船撐開，稍微離岸，就坐下，從船上教訓眾人。

只是在你們中間，不可這樣；你們中間誰願為大，就必作你們的用人；誰願為首，就必作你們的僕人。正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命，作多人的贖價。」

他們離了別加往前行，來到彼西底的安提阿，在安息日進會堂坐下。讀完了律法和先知的書，管會堂的叫人過去，對他們說：「二位兄台，若有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說。」保羅就站起來，舉手，說：「以色列人和一切敬畏神的人，請聽。

當那一天，耶穌從房子裏出來，坐在海邊。有許多人到他那裏聚集，他只得上船坐下，眾人都站在岸上。

彼得看見，就對百姓說：「以色列人哪，為甚麼把這事當作希奇呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，以為我們憑自己的能力和虔誠使這人行走呢？
