主之神偕我矣、蓋彼膏我、以宣福音於貧者、遣我宣告、虜者得釋、瞽者得明、受挫折者得自由、

主之神臨我、膏我、俾傳福音於貧人、傷心者醫之、

主之神臨我、因主膏我、俾我傳福音於貧者、遣我醫傷心之人、

上主之神、臨我之身；恩膏沐首、大命是膺。天主遣我、所為何因：窮苦無告、得聆福音；俘囚獲釋、瞽者復明；困者以解、屈者以伸；

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me. He has anointed me to announce the good news to poor people. He has sent me to announce freedom for prisoners. He has sent me so that the blind will see again. He wants me to set free those who are treated badly.

The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Jesus answered and said to them,“ Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.

to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.

The eyes of those who see will not be dim, And the ears of those who hear will listen.

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.”

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.They shall be turned back, They shall be greatly ashamed, Who trust in carved images, Who say to the molded images,‘ You are our gods.’“ Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.

He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying,“ Son of David, have mercy on us!”And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then He touched their eyes, saying,“ According to your faith let it be to you.”And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying,“ See that no one knows it.”

You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

That You may say to the prisoners,‘ Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness,‘ show yourselves.’“ They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.

Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which is translated, the Christ).

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, Or the captives of the righteous be delivered?But thus says the Lord:“ Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.

Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!For thus says the Lord:“ You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.”

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

I have raised him up in righteousness, And I will direct all his ways; He shall build My city And let My exiles go free, Not for price nor reward,” Says the Lord of hosts.

“ As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light( for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.Therefore He says:“ Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

“ Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.

For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the Lord.“ But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

“ As for Me,” says the Lord,“ this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord,“ from this time and forevermore.”Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory;

But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.

And Jesus said,“ For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him,“ Are we blind also?”Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say,‘ We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.

“ For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

and the Lord said to him,“ Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.

To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death,

“ Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons—Because they rebelled against the words of God, And despised the counsel of the Most High,Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces.Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.

“ The Lord GOD has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned.

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord.
