他們卻從別加走過去，來到彼西底的安提阿，在安息之日進會堂裏坐下。律法和神言人的書宣讀了以後，會堂管事們就差遣人到他們跟前說：『同人弟兄們，你們心裏若有甚麼要向民眾勸勉的話，請說。』保羅就站起來，擺着手說：『以色列人和敬畏上帝的人哪，請聽！

約瑟和馬利亞辦完了照主律法應辦的一切事，就回加利利、到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

當他十二歲的時候、他們就按節期的規矩上去。

到了一座城叫拿撒勒住下。這是要應驗那藉神言人所說的話、說：『他必稱為拿撒勒人。』

來到自己家鄉，在他們的會堂裏教訓他們，以致他們都驚駭說：『這個人從哪裏得了這智慧和這些異能呢？這不是那木匠的兒子麼？他母親不是叫馬利亞，而他弟兄叫雅各、約瑟、西門、猶大麼？

耶穌回答他說：『我從來是坦然公開地向世人講話；我常常在會堂在殿裏、眾猶太人聚集的地方、教訓人，並沒有在隱密中講甚麼呀。

耶穌開始對他們說：『今天這一段經所說的應驗在你們耳中了。』

他在他們的會堂裏教訓人，眾人都讚揚他。

在第六個月、天使加伯列從上帝那裏被差遣，到加利利的一座城名叫拿撒勒，去找一個童女，是已許配一個人，名叫約瑟、屬大衛家的；童女的名字叫馬利亞。
