他们由别加继续前行，来到彼西底区的安提阿。在安息日那天，他们进了会堂坐下来。读完律法书和先知书后，会堂主管派人告诉他们：“弟兄们，如果你们有什么劝勉众人的话，请讲。”保罗站起来向大家挥手示意，说：“各位以色列同胞和各位敬畏上帝的外族朋友们，请听我说。

约瑟和玛丽亚办完了主的律法规定的一切事之后，就回到他们的家乡——加利利的拿撒勒。

耶稣十二岁那年，跟父母照例上去过节。

定居在拿撒勒镇。这应验了先知的话：“祂将被称为拿撒勒人。”

回到自己的家乡拿撒勒，在会堂里教导人。人们很惊奇，说：“这个人从哪里得到如此的智慧和神奇的能力呢？这不是那木匠的儿子吗？祂母亲不是玛丽亚吗？祂的弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？

耶稣说：“我是公开对世人讲的，我常在犹太人聚集的会堂和圣殿教导人，没有在背地里讲过什么。

祂就对他们说：“你们刚才听见的这段经文今天已经应验了。”

祂在各会堂里教导人，大家都称赞祂。

伊丽莎白怀孕六个月的时候，天使加百列又奉上帝的命令到加利利的拿撒勒，去见一位童贞女，她叫玛丽亚。玛丽亚已经和大卫的后裔约瑟订了婚。
