Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, (niv)

At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness,and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. (niv)

Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. (niv)

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. (niv)

For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. (niv)

I don’t know where the Spirit of the Lord may carry you when I leave you. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he will kill me. Yet I your servant have worshiped the Lord since my youth. (niv)
