他对管园的说：‘你看，这三年，我来到这棵无花果树那里找果子，却找不到，把它砍了吧！何必白占地土呢？’

人若不住在我里面，就像枝子丢在外面枯干了，人把它们拾起来，丢在火里烧掉了。

看哪！主万军之耶和华在可怕的震撼声中，把树枝削去；身量高的必被砍下，高大的必被伐倒。树林中的密丛，他必用铁器砍下；黎巴嫩的树木必被大能者伐倒。

大声呼叫，这样说：你们要砍下这树，削断枝子，摇落叶子，打散果子，把树下的走兽赶散，把树枝上的飞鸟赶走。

因为我们的神是烈火。

王既然看见一位守望者，就是圣者，从天上下来，说：‘你们要砍下毁坏这树，树根的余干却要留在地上，用铁和铜的链子围住，留在野地的青草中，使他被天露滴湿；使他的分和野地的走兽一样，直到他经过那七年的时期。’

在伊甸所有的树木中，有谁的荣美和高大能与你相比呢？然而你却要与伊甸的树木一同下到地的深处。你要在没有受割礼的人中，与被刀剑所杀的人一同躺卧。这树就是法老和他的众民。这是主耶和华说的。’”

“人子啊！葡萄树的木料怎能胜过树林中的枝子呢？人可以从葡萄树上取木料制造物件吗？可以从葡萄树上取木料做钉子挂器皿吗？看哪！已经抛在火里当作燃料，火既烧毁了两端，连中间也烧焦了，它还可以用来制造物件吗？

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，凭着两三个证人，他尚且得不到怜悯而死；

日子将到，人必说：‘不生育的和没有怀过胎的，也没有哺养过婴儿的有福了。’那时人要对大山说：‘倒在我们身上！’对小山说：‘遮盖我们！’他们在青绿的树上，既然这样作；在枯干的树上，又会怎样呢？”
