But they do not know the Lord’s thoughts or understand his plan. These nations don’t know that he is gathering them together to be beaten and trampled like sheaves of grain on a threshing floor.

I will winnow you like grain at the gates of your cities and take away the children you hold dear. I will destroy my own people, because they refuse to change their evil ways.

You will throw them in a flaming furnace when you appear. The Lord will consume them in his anger; fire will devour them.You will wipe their children from the face of the earth; they will never have descendants.

The oxen and donkeys that till the ground will eat good grain, its chaff blown away by the wind.

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.
