John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered their questions by saying,“ I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am— so much greater that I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water, but one who is more powerful than I am is coming. I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John responded to them all, saying,“ As for me, I baptize you with water; but He is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the straps of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying to all,“ I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:

John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water, but One is coming who is more powerful than I. I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying unto[ them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water, but one more powerful than I am is coming– I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered them all,“ I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

约翰是用水施洗，但过了不多几天，你们要在圣灵里受洗。”

我一开始讲话，圣灵就降在他们身上，正像当初降在我们身上一样。我就想起主的话如何说：‘约翰用水施洗，但你们要在圣灵里受洗。’

我先前不认识他，可是那差我来用水施洗的对我说：‘你看见圣灵降下来，停留在谁的身上，谁就是用圣灵施洗的。’

我是用水给你们施洗，叫你们悔改；但那在我以后来的，能力比我更大，我就是给他提鞋子也不配，他要用圣灵与火给你们施洗。

保罗说：“约翰所施的是悔改的洗礼，他告诉百姓当信那在他以后要来的那位，就是耶稣。”他们听见这话以后，就奉主耶稣的名受洗。

约翰回答：“我是用水施洗，但有一位站在你们中间，是你们不认识的，

我们无论是犹太人是希腊人，是为奴的是自主的，都从一位圣灵受洗成了一个身体，并且共享这位圣灵。

他来的日子，谁能当得起呢？他显现的时候，谁能立得住呢？因为他如炼金匠的火，如漂洗者的碱。他必坐下如炼净银子的人，必洁净利未人，熬炼他们像金银一样；他们就凭公义献供物给耶和华。

又有舌头如火焰向他们显现，分开落在他们每个人身上。他们都被圣灵充满，就按着圣灵所赐的口才说起别国的话来。

“以后，我要将我的灵浇灌凡有血肉之躯的。你们的儿女要说预言，你们的老人要做异梦，你们的少年要见异象。在那些日子，我要将我的灵浇灌我的仆人和婢女。

信我的人，就如经上所说：‘从他腹中将流出活水的江河来。’”

在他没有出来以前，约翰已向以色列全民宣讲悔改的洗礼。约翰快走完他的人生路程时，说：‘你们以为我是谁？我不是；但是有一位在我以后来的，我就是解他脚上的鞋带也不配。’

我要使这三分之一经过火，熬炼他们，如熬炼银子；试炼他们，如试炼金子。他们要求告我的名，我必应允他们。我说：“这是我的子民。”他们要说：“耶和华是我的神。”

他宣讲，说：“有一位在我以后来的，能力比我更大，我就是弯腰给他解鞋带也不配。我用水给你们施洗，他却要用圣灵给你们施洗。”

我必洒清水在你们身上，你们就洁净了。我要洁净你们，使你们脱离一切的污秽，弃绝一切的偶像。

因为我要把水浇灌干渴的地方，使水涌流在干旱之地。我要将我的灵浇灌你的后裔，使我的福临到你的子孙。他们要在草丛中生长，如溪水旁的柳树。

等到圣灵从高处浇灌我们，旷野将变为田园，田园看似森林。

你们当因我的责备回转，我要将我的灵浇灌你们，将我的话指示你们。

彼得还在说这些话的时候，圣灵降在一切听道的人身上。

他既被高举在神的右边，又从父受了所应许的圣灵，就把你们所看见所听见的，浇灌下来。

‘神说：在末后的日子，我要将我的灵浇灌凡血肉之躯的。你们的儿女要说预言；你们的少年要见异象；你们的老人要做异梦。在那些日子，我要把我的灵浇灌，甚至给我的仆人和婢女，他们要说预言。
