John answered them all,“ I baptize you with water, but one who is more powerful than I am is coming. I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John responded to them all, saying,“ As for me, I baptize you with water; but He is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the straps of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying to all,“ I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:

約翰是用水施洗，但再過幾天，你們要受聖靈的洗。”

我一開始講話，聖靈就降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。我就想起主所說的話：‘約翰用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。’

我本來不認識他，但那差我來用水施洗的對我說：‘你看見聖靈降下來，停留在誰身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的。’

我用水給你們施洗，表示你們悔改；但在我以後要來的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替他提鞋也沒有資格。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

保羅說：“約翰施的是悔改的洗禮，他告訴人民當信在他以後要來的那一位，就是耶穌。”他們聽見了，就受洗歸入主耶穌的名下。

約翰回答：“我是用水施洗，但有一位站在你們中間，是你們不認識的；

我們無論是猶太人，是希臘人，是作奴隸的，是自由的，都在那一位聖靈裡受了洗，成為一個身體，都飲了那一位聖靈。

可是，他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能站立得住呢？因為他像煉金之人的火，又像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐著，像熬煉和潔淨銀子的人；他必潔淨利未人，煉淨他們像煉淨金銀一樣。這樣，他們就會憑公義獻禮物給耶和華。

又有火燄般的舌頭顯現出來，分別落在他們各人身上。他們都被聖靈充滿，就照著聖靈所賜給他們的口才，用別種語言說出話來。

“以後，我要把我的靈澆灌所有的人。你們的兒女要說預言，你們的老年人要作異夢，你們的少年人要見異象。在那些日子，我也要把我的靈澆灌僕人和婢女。

信我的人，就像聖經所說的，從他的腹中要湧流出活水的江河來。”

在他來臨之前，約翰早已向以色列全民宣講悔改的洗禮。約翰快要跑完他的路程的時候，說：‘你們以為我是誰？我不是基督。他是在我以後來的，我就是給他解腳上的鞋帶也不配。’

主要用審判的靈和焚燒的靈把錫安女子的污穢洗去，又把耶路撒冷中間的血腥洗淨。

我必使這三分之一經火試煉。我要煉淨他們，像煉淨銀子一樣；我要試煉他們，像試煉金子一樣。他們必呼求我的名，我必應允他們。我要說：‘他們是我的子民。’他們也要說：‘耶和華是我們的神。’”

他傳講說：“有一位在我以後來的，能力比我大，我就是彎腰給他解鞋帶都沒有資格。我用水給你們施洗，他卻要用聖靈給你們施洗。”

我必用潔淨的水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了；我必潔淨你們的一切污穢，使你們遠離所有可憎的像。

因為我要把水澆灌乾渴之處，把河水澆灌乾旱之地；我必把我的靈澆灌你的後裔，把我的福降給你的子孫。他們要從草中生長起來，像溪水旁的柳樹。

等到聖靈從高處傾倒在我們身上，曠野變為肥田，肥田被看為樹林的時候，

你們要因我的責備回轉，我就把我的心意（“心意”或譯：“靈”）向你們傾吐，把我的話指示你們。

彼得還在說話的時候，聖靈降在所有聽道的人身上，

他既然被高舉到神的右邊，從父領受了所應許的聖靈，就把他澆灌下來，這就是你們所看見所聽見的。

‘神說：在末後的日子，我要把我的靈澆灌所有的人，你們的兒女要說預言，你們的青年人要見異象，你們的老年人要作異夢。在那些日子，我也要把我的靈澆灌我的僕人和使女，他們就要說預言。
