He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:

As they were meeting in Galilee, Jesus told them,“ The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” And they were deeply distressed.

From then on Jesus began to point out to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day.

He is not here! For He has been resurrected, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.

For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

and said,“ Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive He said,‘ After three days I will rise again.’

Then He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, be killed, and rise after three days.

Then they left that place and made their way through Galilee, but He did not want anyone to know it.For He was teaching His disciples and telling them,“ The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after He is killed, He will rise three days later.”But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him.

As they were coming down from the mountain, He ordered them to tell no one what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.They kept this word to themselves, discussing what“ rising from the dead” meant.

“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death. Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles,and they will mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him, and He will rise after three days.”

“ Let these words sink in: The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”

“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death.Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked, flogged, and crucified, and He will be resurrected on the third day.”

Then He took the Twelve aside and told them,“ Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. Everything that is written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and He will be mocked, insulted, spit on;and after they flog Him, they will kill Him, and He will rise on the third day.”

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,
