又是永活的。我曾死過，看哪，我是活着的，直到永永遠遠；並且我拿着死亡和陰間的鑰匙。

他說：「蒙愛的人哪，不要懼怕，願你平安！你要剛強！要剛強！」他一對我說話，我就覺得有力量，說：「我主請說，因你使我有力量。」

撒迦利亞看見，就驚慌害怕。天使對他說：「撒迦利亞，不要害怕，因為你的祈禱已經被聽見了。你的妻子伊利莎白要給你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫約翰。

「你要寫信給士每拿教會的使者，說：『那首先的、末後的，死過又活了的這樣說：

看哪，有一位形狀像人的，摸我的嘴唇，我就開口說話，向那站在我面前的說：「我主啊，因這異象使我感到劇痛，毫無氣力。

他的相貌如同閃電，衣服潔白如雪。看守的人嚇得渾身顫抖，甚至和死人一樣。天使回應婦女說：「不要害怕！我知道你們是尋找那釘十字架的耶穌。

我－但以理一人看見這異象，跟我一起的人沒有看見，卻有極大的戰兢落在他們身上，他們就逃跑躲避，只剩下我一人。我看見這大異象就渾身無力，面容變色，毫無氣力。我聽見他說話的聲音；一聽見他說話的聲音，我就沉睡，臉伏於地。看哪，有一隻手摸我，使我膝蓋和手掌戰抖。他對我說：「蒙愛的但以理啊，要思想我對你所說的話，只管站起來，因為我現在奉差遣來到你這裏。」他對我說這話，我就戰戰兢兢地站起來。他說：「但以理啊，不要懼怕！因為自從第一日你立志要明白，又在你上帝面前刻苦自己，你的話已蒙應允；我就是因你的話而來。

他就來到我所站的地方。他一來，我就驚慌，臉伏於地。他對我說：「人子啊，你要明白，因為這是關乎末後時期的異象。」他對我說話的時候，我在沉睡，臉伏於地。他就摸我，扶我站起來。

馬利亞因這話就很驚慌，又反覆思考這樣問候是甚麼意思。

有一天，約在下午三點鐘，他在異象中清楚看見上帝的一個使者進來，到他那裏，對他說：「哥尼流。」哥尼流定睛看他，驚惶地說：「主啊，甚麼事？」天使對他說：「你的禱告和你的賙濟已達到上帝面前，蒙記念了。

在這事上，一方面，收取十分之一的都是必死的人；另一方面，收取十分之一的卻是那位被證實是活着的。
