她們進了墳墓，看見一個少年人坐在右邊，穿着白袍，就甚驚恐。那少年人對她們說：「不要驚恐！你們尋找那釘十字架的拿撒勒人耶穌，他已經復活了，不在這裏。請看安放他的地方。

又是那存活的；我曾死過，現在又活了，直活到永永遠遠；並且拿着死亡和陰間的鑰匙。

他說：「大蒙眷愛的人哪，不要懼怕，願你平安！你總要堅強。」他一向我說話，我便覺得有力量，說：「我主請說，因你使我有力量。」

撒迦利亞看見，就驚慌害怕。天使對他說：「撒迦利亞，不要害怕，因為你的祈禱已經被聽見了。你的妻子伊利莎白要給你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫約翰。

「你要寫信給士每拿教會的使者，說：『那首先的、末後的、死過又活的，說：

不料，有一位像人的，摸我的嘴唇，我便開口向那站在我面前的說：「我主啊，因見這異象，我大大愁苦，毫無氣力。

他的相貌如同閃電，衣服潔白如雪。看守的人就因他嚇得渾身亂戰，甚至和死人一樣。天使對婦女說：「不要害怕！我知道你們是尋找那釘十字架的耶穌。

這異象惟有我－但以理一人看見，同着我的人沒有看見。他們卻大大戰兢，逃跑隱藏，只剩下我一人。我見了這大異象便渾身無力，面貌失色，毫無氣力。我卻聽見他說話的聲音，一聽見就面伏在地沉睡了。忽然，有一手按在我身上，使我用膝和手掌支持微起。他對我說：「大蒙眷愛的但以理啊，要明白我與你所說的話，只管站起來，因為我現在奉差遣來到你這裏。」他對我說這話，我便戰戰兢兢地立起來。他就說：「但以理啊，不要懼怕！因為從你第一日專心求明白將來的事，又在你神面前刻苦己心，你的言語已蒙應允；我是因你的言語而來。

他便來到我所站的地方。他一來，我就驚慌俯伏在地；他對我說：「人子啊，你要明白，因為這是關乎末後的異象。」他與我說話的時候，我面伏在地沉睡；他就摸我，扶我站起來，

馬利亞因這話就很驚慌，又反覆思想這樣問安是甚麼意思。

有一天，約在申初，他在異象中明明看見神的一個使者進去，到他那裏，說：「哥尼流。」哥尼流定睛看他，驚怕說：「主啊，甚麼事呢？」天使說：「你的禱告和你的賙濟達到神面前，已蒙記念了。

在這裏收十分之一的都是必死的人；但在那裏收十分之一的，有為他作見證的說，他是活的；
