是那永生的。我曾经死过，可是看哪，我现在活着，直到永永远远，并且拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。

他说：“蒙爱的人哪，你不要害怕，愿你平安！你当坚强，当坚强！”在他与我说话的时候，我就有了力量。我说：“我主请说，因为你使我有力量。”

撒迦利亚看见后，就惊慌不安，恐惧就临到了他。天使对他说：“撒迦利亚，不要怕，因为你的祈祷已蒙垂听。你的妻子伊莉莎白要为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫约翰。

“你要给士每拿教会的使者写信说：“那位首先的、末后的，那位曾经死去又活过来的，这样说：

看哪！那位样子像人的碰了我的嘴唇，我就开口说话。我对那位站在我面前的说：“我主啊！因这异象，剧痛临到我身上，我的力气就留存不住。

他的容貌像闪电，衣服洁白如雪。看守的卫兵们因怕天使就浑身发抖，变得像死人那样。天使对妇女们说：“你们不要怕！我知道你们是在寻找被钉十字架的耶稣。

唯独我但以理看到了这异象，那些与我在一起的人却没有看到这异象，但是有极大的恐惧落在他们身上，他们就逃走躲藏了。因此，唯独剩下我一人看到了这极大的异象；我里面一点力气都没有，我的脸色变得如同死灰，我的力气也留存不住，但我却听见了他说话的声音；我一听见他说话的声音，就脸伏于地沉睡了。看哪，有一只手碰了我一下，使我用膝盖和手掌支撑起来！那碰我的对我说：“蒙爱的但以理啊！你当领悟我向你说的话语，站起来，因为我现在受派遣到你这里。”他与我说这话的时候，我就战战兢兢地站了起来。他又对我说：“但以理啊！你不要害怕，因为自从你用心领悟这事、在你的神面前谦卑的第一天起，你的祷告就蒙垂听了；我是因你的祷告而来的。

于是加百列来到我所站的地方。他一来，我就惊惶失措，脸伏于地。他对我说：“人子啊，你当领悟，这异象是关于末后的时期！”他与我说话的时候，我脸伏于地沉睡了。他碰了我一下，使我站立起来。

玛丽亚因这话就惊慌不安，思索这问候到底是什么意思。

有一天，大约下午三点，他在异象中清楚地看见神的一位天使来到他面前，对他说：“哥尼流！”哥尼流注视着他，感到害怕，说：“主啊，有什么事呢？”天使说：“你的祷告和你的施舍，已经上达神的面前蒙记念了。

在这里，收取十分之一的人们固然都会死去；但在那里，他却被见证说是永生的。
