然聖神降臨、將賜爾等以神力、而爾等將為予作證、始自耶路撒冷、繼及猶太沙瑪里、終至普天率土、無遠不屆。』

一日與諸徒同席、諭以莫離耶路撒冷、靜候天主所許者之臨格。曰：『是即爾等所聞於予者、

惟父將以予名義、遣發保慰恩師、彼必教爾以一切、且使爾追憶領會予之所言也。

予當自聖父遣發保慰恩師於爾、保慰恩師非他、即真道之神發自聖父者是。彼至必為予作證、

予當求父另遣保慰恩師、永與爾偕；恩師非他、真諦之神是已。世俗不見此神、不識此神、故不克受之；爾則識之、以彼與爾偕、寓於爾故。

五旬節屆、同人咸集、坐於一室、忽有聲來自天上、若大風之驟至、充乎全室；復見火光𦧡𦧡如舌、分降人頂；眾遂飽受聖神、各依聖神所賦、而道異國方言。爾時有虔誠之猶太人、來自天下萬國、寓於耶路撒冷？一聆此聲、紛紛咸集；聞門徒道其鄉音、乃駭然而異曰：『且視言者非皆加利利人乎？何能道吾方言？吾輩或來自帕提亞、瑪代、以蘭、或向居美索不達米亞、猶太、加帕多蒙、本都、亞細亞、弗呂家、旁非利、埃及、以及毗連古利奈之呂彼亞；或自羅馬來此遊歷；或為猶太人、或為歸化者；尚有革哩底阿拉伯諸方人士；而各聞以其鄉音、稱道天主宏猷！』莫不驚訝自失而相語曰：『果何由而致此乎？』或戲之曰：『飽酣新酒耳！』伯鐸祿偕十一宗徒起而高呼曰：『猶太人與耶路撒冷之居民乎、爾曹悉當知之、且聽吾言：爾意斯人中酒、非也！時在清晨、安得中酒？此正先知約珥所言：「上主云、時臨末日、將以吾神賜諸蒼生；爾子爾女、將作預言、少者睹異徵、老者獲奇夢。屆時當以吾神沛賜吾之僕婢、使道未來。天顯異兆於上、地顯靈蹟於下、如血如火、如煙如霧、日晦暝、月變血、則主赫顯之日將至。凡求主名者無不獲救。」

實以相告、予之去、爾之益也。蓋予不去、則保慰恩師不至。予去當遣之來。彼既來、必有以令世知罪、知義、知判。知罪者、以若輩不予信也；知義者、以予歸父而爾不復睹予也；知判者、以斯世之君已受判也。尚有多端、欲與爾言、惟此時爾尚不堪受之。一俟真諦之神來臨、必能循循誘爾洞達微妙。彼所言亦非由己；有所聞、乃言之；當示爾以將臨之事、且必歸榮於予也。何則、彼將受之於予、而授之於爾也。蓋父之所有、亦即予之所有、故曰：『彼將受於予而授於爾。』『瞬息之間、而爾不得睹予矣！復一瞬息、而爾又得見予矣！』
