曰、摩西例、先知書、及詩篇、所載指我者、皆應、我素偕爾、曾言之矣、

曰、昔我偕爾時、曾告爾云、凡摩西律法、先知書、及詩篇所載指我之言、皆必應、今果應矣、

耶穌又謂諸徒曰：『曩日與爾同處、予曾明言、摩西律先知書與聖詠中所載予事、悉當應驗。』

He said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

Jesus said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms must come true.”

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Then he said,“ When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

He told them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Now He said to them,“ These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

And he said unto them, These[ are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and[ in] the prophets, and[ in] the psalms, concerning me.

Then he said to them,“ These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

He said to them,“ This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.”

Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

“ And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm:‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.’

saying,“ The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”

“ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me,“ See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.He will judge Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with justice.The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the little hills, by righteousness.He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure, Throughout all generations.He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, Like showers that water the earth.In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, Until the moon is no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him, And His enemies will lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and of the isles Will bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts.Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; All nations shall serve Him.For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper.He will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy.He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; And precious shall be their blood in His sight.And He shall live; And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him; Prayer also will be made for Him continually, And daily He shall be praised.There will be an abundance of grain in the earth, On the top of the mountains; Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon; And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed.Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things!And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.The Lord has sworn And will not relent,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.

“ Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.“ Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.”The voice of one crying in the wilderness:“ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”The voice said,“ Cry out!” And he said,“ What shall I cry?”“ All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass.The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah,“ Behold your God!”Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.

Then speak to him, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying:“ Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord;

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,according to all you desired of the Lord your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying,‘ Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’“ And the Lord said to me:‘ What they have spoken is good.I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.

For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,saying,‘ The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”

For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;So shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what had not been told them they shall see, And what they had not heard they shall consider.Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.Then I said,“ Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

I dismissed the three shepherds in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.Then I said,“ I will not feed you. Let what is dying die, and what is perishing perish. Let those that are left eat each other’s flesh.”And I took my staff, Beauty, and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with all the peoples.So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.Then I said to them,“ If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.And the Lord said to me,“ Throw it to the potter”— that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter.

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.“ The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.“ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.”

The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

“ Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”

I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them— My servant David. He shall feed them and be their shepherd.

“ Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent.But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them.They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people.All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,“ He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts.I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God.Be not far from Me, For trouble is near; For there is none to help.Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled Me.They gape at Me with their mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death.For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet;I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.But You, O Lord, do not be far from Me; O My Strength, hasten to help Me!Deliver Me from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog.Save Me from the lion’s mouth And from the horns of the wild oxen! You have answered Me.I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.You who fear the Lord, praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And fear Him, all you offspring of Israel!For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those who fear Him.The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever!All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.For the kingdom is the LORD’s, And He rules over the nations.All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship; All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive.A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation,They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, That He has done this.

the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.

In return for my love they are my accusers, But I give myself to prayer.Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love.Set a wicked man over him, And let an accuser stand at his right hand.When he is judged, let him be found guilty, And let his prayer become sin.Let his days be few, And let another take his office.Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.Let his children continually be vagabonds, and beg; Let them seek their bread also from their desolate places.Let the creditor seize all that he has, And let strangers plunder his labor.Let there be none to extend mercy to him, Nor let there be any to favor his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off, And in the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord, And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be continually before the Lord, That He may cut off the memory of them from the earth;Because he did not remember to show mercy, But persecuted the poor and needy man, That he might even slay the broken in heart.As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him.As he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, So let it enter his body like water, And like oil into his bones.Let it be to him like the garment which covers him, And for a belt with which he girds himself continually.Let this be the LORD’s reward to my accusers, And to those who speak evil against my person.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You.Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry.For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draws near to the grave.I am counted with those who go down to the pit; I am like a man who has no strength,Adrift among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom You remember no more, And who are cut off from Your hand.You have laid me in the lowest pit, In darkness, in the depths.Your wrath lies heavy upon me, And You have afflicted me with all Your waves. And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?But to You I have cried out, O Lord, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.Lord, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?I have been afflicted and ready to die from my youth; I suffer Your terrors; I am distraught.Your fierce wrath has gone over me; Your terrors have cut me off.They came around me all day long like water; They engulfed me altogether.Loved one and friend You have put far from me, And my acquaintances into darkness.

“ This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear.’

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

“ Listen, O coastlands, to Me, And take heed, you peoples from afar! The Lord has called Me from the womb; From the matrix of My mother He has made mention of My name.And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me.”“ And He said to me,‘ You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.’Then I said,‘ I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the Lord, And my work with my God.’”“ And now the Lord says, Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, So that Israel is gathered to Him( For I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, And My God shall be My strength),Indeed He says,‘ It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’”Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers:“ Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You.”Thus says the Lord:“ In an acceptable time I have heard You, And in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth, To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

So the congregation shall deliver the manslayer from the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall return him to the city of refuge where he had fled, and he shall remain there until the death of the high priest who was anointed with the holy oil.

“ Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.“ Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.“ And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the Lord their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen.”Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son.Then God said:“ Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are not My people, And I will not be your God.“ Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not My people,’ There it shall be said to them,‘ You are sons of the living God.’Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel Shall be gathered together, And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!

“ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.”

In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Why, when I came, was there no man? Why, when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Indeed with My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink because there is no water, And die of thirst.I clothe the heavens with blackness, And I make sackcloth their covering.”“ The Lord GOD has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned.The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away.I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.

Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me.I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.O God, You know my foolishness; And my sins are not hidden from You.Let not those who wait for You, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed because of me; Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel.Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; Shame has covered my face.I have become a stranger to my brothers, And an alien to my mother’s children;Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting, That became my reproach.I also made sackcloth my garment; I became a byword to them.Those who sit in the gate speak against me, And I am the song of the drunkards.But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.Deliver me out of the mire, And let me not sink; Let me be delivered from those who hate me, And out of the deep waters.Let not the floodwater overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth on me.Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.And do not hide Your face from Your servant, For I am in trouble; Hear me speedily.Draw near to my soul, and redeem it; Deliver me because of my enemies.You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor; My adversaries are all before You.Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.They also gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.Let their table become a snare before them, And their well-being a trap.Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; And make their loins shake continually.Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your wrathful anger take hold of them.Let their dwelling place be desolate; Let no one live in their tents.For they persecute the ones You have struck, And talk of the grief of those You have wounded.Add iniquity to their iniquity, And let them not come into Your righteousness.Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, And not be written with the righteous.But I am poor and sorrowful; Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high.I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves.The humble shall see this and be glad; And you who seek God, your hearts shall live.For the Lord hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners.Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them.For God will save Zion And build the cities of Judah, That they may dwell there and possess it.Also, the descendants of His servants shall inherit it, And those who love His name shall dwell in it.

searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“ That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”Therefore He shall give them up, Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren Shall return to the children of Israel.And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth;

Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“ Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:“ Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”“ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

“ I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.

Thus says the Lord GOD:“ I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain.

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.

Then He said to them,“ Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.“ And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.“ But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me,‘ Where are You going?’

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

They said therefore among themselves,“ Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says:“ They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother,“ Woman, behold your son!”Then He said to the disciple,“ Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said,“ I thirst!”Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said,“ It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath( for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled,“ Not one of His bones shall be broken.”And again another Scripture says,“ They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”

Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.But God raised Him from the dead.He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.

and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them,“ The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men,and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

“ Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”

But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments.Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

For He taught His disciples and said to them,“ The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day.”

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

and the Lord said to Moses:“ Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.“ Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering.He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These are holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water, and put them on.And he shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering.“ Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.He shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat.And Aaron shall bring the goat on which the LORD’s lot fell, and offer it as a sin offering.But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness.“ And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which is for himself.Then he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from the altar before the Lord, with his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine, and bring it inside the veil.And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony, lest he die.He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.“ Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, bring its blood inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat.So he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness.There shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.And he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord, and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around.Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, cleanse it, and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.

‘ Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord,‘ that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah:

Then He took the twelve aside and said to them,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken.

“ And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.“ And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.

And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.He spoke this word openly. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death,and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.”

Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.

Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying,“ This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me:‘ And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”

“ A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father.”Then some of His disciples said among themselves,“ What is this that He says to us,‘ A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’; and,‘ because I go to the Father’?”

“ On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old;

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
