二人彼此議論說：「一路上祂和我們說話、為我們解釋聖經的時候，我們心裡不是很火熱嗎？」

他们彼此说：“在路上，他和我们说话，给我们讲解圣经的时候，我们的心岂不是火热的吗？”

他们彼此说：“在路上他和我们说话，给我们讲解圣经的时候，我们的心在我们里面岂不是火热的吗？”

他们彼此说：“在路上他对我们说话，给我们解释圣经的时候，我们的心不是火热的吗？”

他们彼此说：“在路上他对我们说话，为我们讲解经文的时候，我们心里不是在燃烧吗？”

他們彼此說：「在路上，他和我們說話，給我們講解聖經的時候，我們的心豈不是火熱的嗎？」

他們彼此說：「在路上他和我們說話，給我們講解聖經的時候，我們的心在我們裏面豈不是火熱的嗎？」

他們彼此說：「在路上他和我們說話，給我們講解聖經的時候，我們的心在我們裏面豈不是火熱的嗎？」

他們彼此說：“在路上他對我們說話，給我們解釋聖經的時候，我們的心不是火熱的嗎？”

他們就彼此說：『當他在路上和我們說話，給我們開講經典的時候，我們心裏豈不是熱烘烘燃燒着麼？』

他們彼此說：「在路上他對我們說話，為我們講解經文的時候，我們心裡不是在燃燒嗎？」

相語曰、途間與我言、且釋經時、我心豈不熱乎、

相告曰、道間與我言、解經時、我心豈不熱乎、

遂相語曰、彼於途間與我言解經時、我心豈不熱乎、

二人乃相語曰：『途中與我共話、闡釋經言之時、吾儕不曾覺中心如沸乎？』

They asked each other,“ Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

They said to each other,“ He explained to us what the Scriptures meant. Weren’t we excited as he talked with us on the road?”

They said to each other,“ Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”

They said to each other,“ Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”

They said to each other,“ Weren’t our hearts burning within us while he was talking with us on the road and explaining the Scriptures to us?”

They said to one another,“ Were our hearts not burning within us when He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?”

And they said to one another,“ Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?

So they said to each other,“ Weren’t our hearts ablaze within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining the Scriptures to us?”

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

They said to each other,“ Didn’t our hearts burn within us while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explaining the scriptures to us?”

They said to one another,“ Weren’t our hearts burning within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”

於是，耶穌開啟了他們的心竅，使他們明白這些經文，

我心如火燒，越沉思越煩躁，便開口呼求：

有時我打算不再提起耶和華，不再奉祂的名宣講，但祂的話如一團火在我心中燃燒，憋在我骨頭裡，我無法忍住不說。

耶和華說：「難道我的話不像火嗎？不像擊碎岩石的鐵錘嗎？」

主耶和華賜我教導的能力，使我知道用什麼話幫助疲乏的人。每天早晨，主喚醒我，叫我像受教者那樣側耳聆聽。

叫人活著的是靈，肉體毫無作用。我對你們說的話就是靈，就是生命。

於是，他們和保羅約定了會面的日期。那一天，很多人來到保羅住的地方。從早到晚，保羅向他們傳揚上帝國的道，引用摩西律法和先知書勸他們相信有關耶穌的事。

萬軍之上帝耶和華啊，我把你的話視為甘飴，它們是我心中的快樂和喜悅，因為我屬於你的名下。

上帝的話有生命、有功效，鋒利無比，勝過一切兩刃的利劍，甚至能夠剌入並分開魂與靈、關節與骨髓，辨明人一切的思想和動機。

保羅照以往的習慣進入會堂，一連三個安息日引用聖經與當地人討論，解釋、證明基督必須受害，然後從死裡復活，又說：「我向你們宣講的這位耶穌就是基督。」

朋友互相切磋，如鐵磨鐵越磨越利。

願祂喜悅我的默想，祂是我喜樂的泉源。

膏油和香料使人暢快，朋友的勸誡更加甘甜。
