Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,[ there is] no beauty that we should desire him.He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were[ our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.But he[ was] wounded for our transgressions,[ he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace[ was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither[ was any] deceit in his mouth.Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put[ him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see[ his] seed, he shall prolong[ his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.He shall see of the travail of his soul,[ and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.Therefore will I divide him[ a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man[ that is] my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Of the increase of[ his] government and peace[ there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is[ one] that accuseth you,[ even] Moses, in whom ye trust.For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this[ is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold,[ one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took[ it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee.And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,[ though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah,[ yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me[ that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth[ have been] from of old, from everlasting.Therefore will he give them up, until the time[ that] she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein,[ even] they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David[ shall be] their prince for ever.

Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob,[ and] the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.Know therefore and understand,[ that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince[ shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof[ shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

The LORD hath sworn[ in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him[ shall] the gathering of the people[ be].

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them,[ even] my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he[ is] like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:And he shall sit[ as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled[ them] in condemning[ him].And though they found no cause of death[ in him], yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took[ him] down from the tree, and laid[ him] in a sepulchre.But God raised him from the dead:

And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See[ thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
